Australia have named Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement for the retired David Warner in a new-look squad for this summer's white-ball tour of the UK
Australia's cricket team has announced its squad selections following the recent retirement of David Warner, 37, who stepped down from international cricket after Australia's T20 World Cup exit in June.
Among the fresh faces in the T20 squad is 22-year-old Jake Fraser-McGurk. Though he was an unused reserve during the World Cup, his impressive performance for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League has earned him a spot. Additionally, 20-year-old Cooper Connolly has been called up, taking the place of the omitted Matthew Wade and Ashton Agar.
Australia’s tour will kick off with three T20 matches against Scotland in Edinburgh starting on 4 September, followed by three more T20s and five one-day internationals against England.
Fast bowler Pat Cummins, 31, will not be part of the tour after reaching an agreement with selectors to manage his workload. Cummins recently signed a four-year contract with Major League Cricket's San Francisco Unicorns and is set to join their squad this month.
Mitchell Marsh has been named captain for both the T20 and ODI squads.
