England Stars and Teen Sensation Among Ballon d'Or Nominees

Six players who played pivotal roles in England's run to the Euro 2024 final are among the 30 nominees for the 2024 Ballon d'Or. The prestigious award, which recognizes the best male footballer of the year, features England's captain Harry Kane, midfield maestros Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Declan Rice, as well as forward stars Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer.

The English contingent were key in England's impressive journey to the Euro 2024 final, where they fell 2-1 to Spain in Berlin on 14 July.

Additionally, 17-year-old Lamine Yamal of Spain and Barcelona, who has made waves with his remarkable talent, also makes the shortlist, highlighting a new generation of footballing excellence.

The list also reflects the dominance of Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier League, with a combined eight players from these clubs nominated. Manchester City clinched the Premier League title, while Arsenal finished in second place, showcasing their strength throughout the season.

The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner will be announced at a ceremony in Paris on 28 October.
