the Sri Lankan David got the better of Fernando Barichelo by a mere 0.5 seconds
In a thrilling and fiercely contested final race, Sri Lankan driver Yevan David narrowly defeated Fernando Barichello by just 0.5 seconds to secure his second victory in the FormulaEuro World of Formula competition, earning him the title of overall champion.
David's performance was nothing short of remarkable, especially considering he started in P5 on the grid due to the Reverse Grid system. However, a well-crafted and strategic plan led by Yevan ensured his victory. This triumph followed his first win in the competition just the day before.
As Yevan proudly stood atop the winner's podium, the Sri Lankan national anthem was played for the second time, with the Sri Lankan flag flying high. In addition to his championship win, Yevan also claimed the Rookie Driver Award for the season.
