China's Zheng Haohao Becomes Youngest Olympian, Finishes 18th in Skateboarding

China's Zheng Haohao has made history as the youngest Olympian in the nation's history, competing in the women's skateboarding park event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The 11-year-old, born just a day before the closing of the London 2012 Games, achieved a notable performance despite being one of the youngest participants in the sport.

In the preliminary rounds, Zheng scored a best of 63.19, securing 18th place. This impressive debut comes alongside Team GB teenager Sky Brown, who also competed in the event. The gold medal was claimed by Australia's Arisa Trew, who, at 14, was also among the youngest competitors.

Zheng's journey into skateboarding began at the age of seven, and she has quickly risen through the ranks to become a prominent figure in the sport. Her participation in the Paris Olympics marks a significant milestone in her young career and showcases her potential for future competitions.

Celebrations continue for Zheng, who will turn 12 on Sunday, adding a personal milestone to her Olympic debut. As one of the youngest Olympians of all time, Zheng’s presence at the Games highlights the rising talent and youthfulness in competitive skateboarding.
