Sri Lanka Women’s U19 Set for Tri-Series Tour of Australia

The Sri Lanka Women’s U19 team is gearing up for a significant tour of Australia, scheduled for September–October 2024. During this tour, they will participate in a competitive tri-series featuring both Twenty20 and 50-over matches against Australia and New Zealand.

This tour is a crucial opportunity for the Sri Lankan team, offering valuable exposure as they face off against two of the strongest sides in women’s cricket. Playing in Australia will also present the team with the challenge of adapting to different playing conditions, which is expected to be beneficial for their development.

Earlier this year, in April, the Sri Lanka Women’s U19 team competed in a similar tri-series against Australia and England at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium (MRICS) in Hambantota. This upcoming tour will build on that experience, as the team continues to gain international exposure and strengthen their performance on the global stage.
