Paris, France – France full-back Melvyn Jaminet has been handed a 34-week suspension and fined 30,000 euros (£25,335) by the French Rugby Federation (FFR) after posting a racist video on social media.

The incident occurred during France's summer tour of Argentina earlier this month, when the 25-year-old Toulouse player shared a video containing a racist comment targeting the Arab community. The FFR stated that Jaminet's actions "harmed the best interests of rugby."

Jaminet’s suspension could be reduced by eight weeks if he participates in anti-discrimination activities designed to "promote the values ​​of sport." Should he complete these activities, he could be eligible for selection ahead of the 2025 Six Nations.
