Why there is silence on Ten Hag's Man Utd future

Manchester United held a crucial board meeting in London to discuss the future of manager Erik ten Hag. The six-hour meeting followed a difficult start to the season, with the team sitting 14th in the Premier League after just eight points from seven matches.

Despite speculation about Ten Hag’s job security, the club has not publicly confirmed any decisions. Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe acknowledged the need for the management team to assess the situation but refrained from expressing explicit support for Ten Hag.

Following recent draws against Porto and Aston Villa, Ten Hag stated the club is aware of the external criticism but emphasized internal disappointment and the need for improvement. As of now, Ten Hag remains in his position and will return to prepare for the next match against Brentford after the international break.
